Hungry Yet?  It’s almost festival time and that means festival food!

Festival opens at 10:00 AM in Harry Myers Park(945 East Washington)

If you ask me, there are few things as much fun as listening to great live music and chomping on a great big turkey leg. The live music scene in Rockwall has grown over the past few years and this year stands to be our best and biggest yet. Especially with the signing of Cory Morrow & Pat Green playing on the Southewest Kia of Rockwall Stage. Founders Day Festival is centered around providing a family friendly atmosphere that has something for everyone. Kids love the bounce houses, foodies love the festival grub, and of course everyone loves live music!

Grub Options

We want our festival attendees to know that there will be a variety of festival food options available to them when they come out to Founders Day Festival. We’ll have everything from Nachos, Sausage on a stick, Brisket Tacos, street tacos, Pineapple delight drinks, turkey legs, roasted, corn, kettle corn, roasted nuts, panini’s, funnel cake, hamburgers, shaved ice, Bacon on a stick, beer brats on a pretzel bun, BBQ Peach Chicken, Churros, Fried Chicken wings, Columbian hot dogs, Texas Tornado Baked Potatoes, fried Oreo’s, Jalapeno cheese stuffed biscuits, spiral spuds, spicy chicken chunks, giant onion blossoms, Philly Cheese Steaks, Fried Brownie’s, Cotton Candy, flavored water and fruit infused water!

I’m originally from Round Rock just north of Austin. I’m a 2011 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station(Whoop!). I love to be outside and probably my greatest outdoor activity would have to be fishing or camping. I like to kayak fish on Phelps Lake here in Rockwall or on Hubbard if the weather is nice.
