Did you know that the City of Rockwall has butterfly gardens in 5 of our parks?  The butterfly gardens are located at Shores Park, Harry Myers Park (East), Emerald Bay Park, Northshore Park and The Park at Stone Creek.  With the help of our lovely volunteers, we have been able to design and upkeep these parks for our neighbors and residents.  If you would like to help with the upkeep of these parks, please email me today and I can get you on my email list.  If you would like to visit these parks do it soon and take in these beautiful creatures before the season ends.  We have some exciting events coming up like butterfly classes and volunteer dates.  Be on the lookout for these new programs and events in our Fun Guide for Spring/Summer coming out in the next few weeks.  Lately, our volunteers have been getting some beautiful photos of butterflies in our gardens (attached).  Thank you so much to our volunteers that help make this happen.

Hi! I am a proud Texas native. I probably love working and living here more than anyone you know! I have been working in city government for 17 years and in Rockwall the past 5. I enjoy watching my kids play sports and attending sporting events with my family. My hobbies are fishing, kayaking, shopping, and walks (and sometimes running) in our beautiful parks.
