Camping outside: If you have decided to set up camp outside, the first thing you will need to do is find a slat surface that you can call home for the night. We recommend either setting on your backyard lawn or even on your porch. Once you pitch your tent you are going to want and make it nice and cozy inside using sleeping bags, blankets and pillows.
Camping inside: Don’t have a tent? No worries you can make your experience just as enjoyable inside the comfort of your home. A few pieces of sturdy furniture and a large blanket are all your need to set up shelter inside. We suggest setting up several chairs in a square or circular shape and throwing a blanket over the top to make thing nice and cozy! Just like outside, you can bring in all the blankets and pillows you want to make it just the way you like it.
When its comes to cooking your camp food you have several options! The classic way to cook camp food would be over a fire pit. If you have one we recommend using it so you can get the full camping experience. If you don’t have a fire pit you can also use a gas or charcoal grill to get the campfire flavor! If you don’t have either of these things, don’t worry! There are plenty of ways to cook camp style food in your kitchen. Hotdogs, hamburgers, are all favorites among campers but we encourage you to get creative. S’mores are always a favorite treat when camping and believe it or not there are several ways that you can make s’mores without having a campfire! Click here to learn 4 ways t make s’mores at home. Whatever you come up with, we invite you to share your meals and recipes with us using the hashtag #GreatRockwallBackyardCampout!
